President's Message
My
fellow parishioners,
Back
in late September, little Lane Ensminger, one of the twins, suffered a
fractured skull after falling out of her wagon. She was taken to Duke where she
spent several days. She's doing well now...thankfully! This created some
anxious moments for Jason, Stacey, and the family, as you might well imagine.
This is the same little girl who, not long ago, broke her leg.
We certainly mourn the passing of George Zourzoukis who
passed away unexpectedly on October 8th. George was married to Mary
Fallis...sister to Frances and Niki. George was just the sweetest and kindest
man...a gentleman in every sense of the word. Our deepest sympathies to the
family...he will be sorely missed!
Laurie
Calos Dishman is working on a project and needs your help. If you have a brick
at the Veteran's Memorial in Dan Daniel Park please let her know by calling her
cell phone at 548-4501.
Guess
who's having a birthday on November 3rd? Our spiritual leader...Father Peter.
All I will say is...he's in his 80's! We have been truly blessed to have such a
fine man leading us. Happy Birthday Father, and we hope you'll be around to
lead and guide us for many more years to come...Happy Birthday!!
Please
remember the parish council election is set for December 6th. Again, if you'd
like to serve, please let me know. Remember too, December 13th is the date for
our annual Christmas party.
As
I close this newsletter, allow me to leave you with these words. There was an
important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it. Anybody
could have done it, but Nobody did it. Everybody thought that Anybody could do
it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it. It ended up that
Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.
Just
remember...St. Peter's needs YOU!
With
deep appreciation,
Alex
